Georgia State Firefighters Association 2017 “Rookie” Firefighter of the Year
The Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services (GCDFE) is proud to announce Firemedic Jared Clark as the Georgia State Firefighters Association’s (GSFA) “Rookie” Firefighter of the Year for 2017. Jared is a Firefighter-Paramedic with the GCDFE and began his career with the department back in April 2014.
Jared was bestowed the prestigious award by Governor Nathan Deal at the Annual Firefighters Recognition Day Ceremony on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta. The event was attended by hundreds of fire service leaders and firefighters from throughout the State. Jared is proud to serve the community and follow in his father’s footsteps as a firefighter. Jared’s future plans are to become a company officer in the fire service, and he is currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University.
